Ms. Case's Biography

Hello Decatur Families!

 

I am so excited to begin my fourth year as an Inclusion Teacher with the Decatur Staff this school year! This year you can find me co-teaching and working alongside our 5th Graders and 6th Grade ELA.

 

I am an alumna from Loyola University Chicago with my BS in Elementary and Special Education, including an English as a Second Language endorsement. This has allowed me to grow our EL program at Decatur to support incoming and transfer students the past few years. I believe strongly in differentiation to meet the needs of students in the general education setting. By working with our general education teachers, my goal is to seamlessly bring inclusion practices into the classroom.

 

When not in the classroom, you can find me jumping in Lake Michigan, trying a new restaurant, or visiting my family in southeast Michigan!
