Summer Programs

We are excited to offer a variety of summer programs for Decatur students! Please see below for program details and registration. Payments for all programs can be made using the ePay link.

 

Publishing Writing Summer Camp with Ms. Torres

Get ready for an exciting summer where writers participate in a creative and rigorous 4 week writers workshop. During this time they will write short stories with guidance from Mrs. Torres and writing coaches. Students will learn the fundamentals of fiction writing, hear first-hand advice from published authors, and strengthen peer relationships with other writers. At the end of this journey, each author will receive a book with all the writer’s published stories. 

Dates: 

4 Weeks: Mondays-Fridays 9:00-12:0

Dates 6/17-6/21; 6/24-6/28; 7/8-7/12; 7/15-7/19

Who is invited to join and cost:

Rising 6th graders-8th graders at $100.00 for the 4 weeks

What do I have to bring?

Please send your child with a water bottle and snack. All materials will be provided.

Book Club Summer Camp with Ms. Powell and Ms. Liberman

Get ready for an exciting summer adventure with our Summer Book Club for incoming 1st and 2nd graders! Dive into the wonderful world of books and join us for fun-filled reading sessions that will ignite your imagination and leave you eager for more. From captivating stories to thrilling adventures, our book club promises an unforgettable journey through the magic of reading. Come join us as we explore new worlds, meet fascinating characters, and embark on exciting quests together. Let's make this summer one to remember with the joy of reading!

Nature Summer Camp Description with Ms. Fazal and Ms. Powell

Welcome to our exciting Summer Nature Camp for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders! Get ready for an unforgettable outdoor adventure filled with exploration, creativity, and fun in the sun.

At our Summer Nature Camp, children will immerse themselves in the wonders of the natural world through a variety of engaging activities tailored just for them. From bird watching to designing fairy gardens, outdoor art activities, every day promises new discoveries and adventures.

The program dates are 6/17-6/20 and 6/24-6/27 from 9-12:00. Register using this link
