Creating Supportive Environments for LGBTQ+ Students

A speaker from the IL Safe Schools Alliance will present an introductory workshop focusing on the experience and needs of LGBTQ+ young people in school settings. It includes opportunities for reflection, dialogue, and skill building.
Our speaker, Jes Scheinpflug, LSW is a queer nonbinary community organizer and serves as the Inclusive Schools Educator at Illinois Safe Schools Alliance. They received their BSW from Illinois State University in 2010 and their MSW from Loyola University Chicago in 2017. They are a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Togo from 2010-2012.
