Literacy: This week we explored sequencing. We discussed how sequencing can mean putting the events of a story in order, but it also can be used in science, math, and non fiction texts. Students practiced using their summary skills when putting story events in order.
Math: Chapter six we continue to practice three digit addition and subtraction. We focused on knowing when to regroup (ask your student about our song/dance moves to help us remember!) and regrouping more than once in a problem.
Science: We go the dirt on soil! We learned about the properties of soil, such as it’s texture, and color. Rocks can be sorted by color, shape or size.
Social Studies: This week we learned about maps and globes. We learned about reading different parts of a maps (keys, compass, etc.)
SEL: We talked about conflict resolution. When conflict arises we think about what happened, what were you thinking & feeling at the time, who has been harmed by your actions, and finally what can you do to make it right?
