5th Grade Humanities

This week the 5th grade finished up small group work connected to our brief study of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for voting rights.  Students also worked diligently planning and organizing their culminating novel project for Stella by Starlight.  There is really some fantastic and creative work going on with these projects.  Students were real troopers taking their Reading NWEA Winter test.  We will continue to make strides to help students grow!

6th Grade Humanities

This week the 6th graders have gotten the ball rolling on their history fair projects.  Students began conducting research using special digital libraries and other online collections.  Students have tried to focus on finding quality resources to help build a good foundation for their topics.  Students also used some of their independent time to finalize details on novel projects.  Students did a nice job taking the winter session of NWEA.  We will all continue to work hard to ensure students continue to grow as learners!
