This week week we continued to work on answering text dependent questions using our RACES model for Al Capone Does My Shirts. Additionally, we focused on analyzing figurative language examples from the story and looking at how they give us a better understanding of the story. Finally, we had some time for some creativity and students were able to create their own advertisements for Moose and Piper’s laundry scheme. Some examples of student work has been posted in the hallway to showcase the great things that we’re doing in our classroom!
Please help make sure that your child has their novel with them each day for class.
This is a crucial part of their participation in class.
