We are taking a class fieldtrip on February 14th– This will be in the morning, and we will be back by lunch! Kari Robbins will be chaperoning. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, I greatly appreciate it!
|On Wednesday, February 14th we will be celebrating Valentine’s day in the afternoon. If your child would like to bring Valentine’s, please make sure there is one for every child. Additionally, please do not send edible treats. Please read the hand out sent home on Thursday afternoon! If you have questions about this, please let me know. Thanks!|
|A LOOK AT OUR WEEK|
|MATH: We continued chapter 7. Students learned how to divide by 4, 6, and 7. We also took a midchapter checkpoint!|
|READING & LANGUAGE ARTS: We read about the Olympics: Past and Present. Students worked on identifying main idea and details, as well as comparing and contrasting the Olympics then and now with a venn diagram. In grammar, students learned how to capitalize titles.|
|SCIENCE: We started chapter 6. We are learning about changes that happen to the earth, natural resources, and products.|
|SOCIAL STUDIES: This week, we read about Ellen Ochoa and answered questions. We also learned about the continents and oceans!|
|SECOND STEP: We learned about how to respond to playground exclusion.|
