Biography
Hello Middle School Families!!
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Mrs. Torres and I am excited to be teaching your middle school student literacy at Decatur Classical. I am in my 21st year of teaching for CPS. I have taught middle school literacy for thirteen years. I have also taught second, third, and fifth grade as well. I am bilingual endorsed and I received my masters in curriculum and instruction at Concordia University. I am married with two children and I am also a part-time figure skating instructor at Niles Iceland. I am excited to be at Decatur because I know I will continue to grow as an educator by building connections with my students and differentiating instruction. I am looking forward to getting to know your child individually and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
